How can we develop a faith that will be strong enough to see us through the whole of our lives, including the uncertainties and challenges?
The key is this: God wants us to be spiritually strong and He has provided us with every resource we need (2 Peter 1:3)

Five gifts God has given us to enable us to grow strong in our faith:

1.    The Gift of Godís Word

-      It points us to the truth

-      It is the constant rain that waters our root system of faith

-      It nourishes our growing roots with principles to live by

-      It gives us practical wisdom for daily living

2.    The Gift of the Holy Spirit

-      To assure us of our salvation

-      To help us discover Godís will

-      He illuminates our minds and makes us yearn for God

-      He takes spiritual truth and makes it understandable to us

-      To encourage and strengthen us in times of trouble

-      To change us from within

3.    The Gift of Prayer

Philippians 4:6-7

4.    The Gift of Fellowship

1 Thessalonians 5:11

5.    The Gift of Service

-      Jesus served others

-      Jesus taught about serving

-      Jesus used stories/parables to illustrate serving

-      Jesus stated serving as His existence

-      Jesus modeled serving
